Order Times & Delivery

ORDER TIMES

  • Made-to-order dresses take approximately 12-16 weeks to arrive from the time of order depending on the designer.
  • It is advisable that you order your bridesmaid dresses 5-6 months before the wedding date if possible (so that you have peace of mind). You need to allow for delivery time to your address, plus some time after the dresses arrive to have them altered to suit the girls once they have purchased their bra and heels to be worn with the dress.
  • NOTE: These are approximate delivery times. It is wise to allow a bit of extra “buffer” time, in the event of a delay in delivery due to situations beyond our control. We don’t want you to be stressed out if the expected delivery date is very close to your wedding date. When in doubt, contact the showroom to discuss rush order options (see below).

RUSH ORDERS

  • Rush orders are available for selected brands, subject to approval (see Our Designers page for details for brands that offer a Rush Order option).
  • Please contact the showroom to discuss your requirements/options if you think you may need a rush order. Just remember to allow enough time for delivery to you, and for the dresses to be altered once they arrive.
  • Rush order fees of $50 per dress are charged for any approved rush orders.
  • Rush orders can vary between 6 -10 weeks for production (PLUS delivery time to your address) depending on the production schedule of the manufacturer, and can vary from brand to brand.

DELIVERY

Delivery Within Australia

  • Delivery is FREE if you order 4 or more dresses in the same order (but does not include shipping insurance cover, which is charged separately – see more details below).
    NOTE: This free delivery offer only applies to parcels sent within Australia.
  • Standard delivery costs with Australia Post are based on the quantity ordered. These costs are for a Parcel Post Satchel or Box for delivery by road to anywhere in Australia (but does not include shipping insurance cover, which is charged separately – see more details below).

  • Shipping Insurance Cover is an OPTIONAL additional cost for all products (excluding fabric swatches and dress bags). This is an extra charge on top of the standard delivery costs. As many of our products are sold for weddings or special occasions, they are considered “valuable items”, hence we highly recommend that your items are fully insured.  The Australian Shipping Insurance rates are as follows:
    Australian Insurance $17

    Shipping Insurance (referred to as Extra Cover by Australia Post) provides you with cover for the specified value of your item/s (up to $5,000) if your item/s is lost or damaged while being carried by Australia Post.

  • All parcel post satchels/boxes are sent as a Registered Post service which means a signature must be obtained at the time of the delivery of the parcel (Signature on delivery SOD). If you are not present at the time of delivery to accept your parcel, Australia Post will leave a card advising the location of the nearby Australia Post facility where your parcel was sent. To collect your parcel, simply take your card, proof of identity (with your signature), and proof of address to the post office listed on your card. If you’re planning to send someone else to collect the item on your behalf, remember to fill out the agent authorisation on the card.
  • If a parcel post satchel/box has been sent within Australia using Australia Post, the parcel can be tracked. Once your order has been sent, we will email you the unique tracking number. You can then track your parcel at auspost.com.au/track by entering the tracking number supplied to you, and clicking on “search”.
  • Deliveries for all Fabric Swatches are FREE, and are sent out in a standard small letter and are not registered or insured. No tracking is available for fabric swatches.
  • Deliveries for all Dress Bags are charged based on the number of dress bags purchased, and are sent via a parcel post satchel or box. They are not registered or insured (unless requested by the customer). Tracking is available. Dress bags can be ordered as part of a dress order, and will be sent together with your dresses where possible.
  • Delivery times within Australia can vary between 2 to 7 business days (after posting), depending on your location/postcode.
  • If you require Express Post Delivery – please contact us to discuss, to make the appropriate arrangements BEFORE you place your order.

International Deliveries

  • Only selected brands are available for sale internationally due to distribution agreements with our suppliers (refer to each product description for more details).
  • Standard international delivery costs in international countries like New Zealand, Asia, US/Canada and rest of the world are based on the quantity ordered. These costs are for an Express Post International Parcel Satchel or Box for delivery by Airmail and Sea mail (as appropriate) around the world (but does not include shipping insurance cover, which is charged separately – see more details below).

  • All Express Post International satchels/boxes are sent as a Registered Post service which means a signature must be obtained at the time of the delivery of the parcel (Signature on delivery SOD).
  • If a satchel/box has been sent internationally using Australia Post, the parcel can be tracked only to a limited extent (only basic tracking is provided for international deliveries). Once your order has been sent, we will email you the unique tracking number. You can then track your parcel at auspost.com.au/track by entering the tracking number supplied to you, and clicking on “search”.
  • International delivery times can vary between 3 to 14 business days (after posting), depending on your country (possibly longer for some remote areas/hard to reach destinations).

Other Important Delivery Information

  • All online orders are delivered out of Melbourne, Australia, to the delivery address stipulated on your order.
  • We do not offer a “pick up service” from the Melbourne showroom for online orders.
  • IMPORTANT: Please be aware that once an order has been sent, Bridesmaids Dressing Room cannot be held responsible for any delays, damage or loss caused by the delivery company and as these conditions are completely outside of our control.
  • If you have any concerns about your delivery, please contact us immediately and quote your Order Number and tracking number, so we can follow up your delivery.
